Last week saw the start of term 4 drama on the West Coast and what a start it was! The academy is feverishly working towards their annual productions which will be held at the beginning of November in the awesome theatre venue in Sunningdale Theatre@Elkanah!

With less than a month to go the excitement and preparations for this much anticipated event are no doubt mounting. Students and staff alike are working very hard toward making this a huge success.
The Helen O' Grady's unique dramatic arts programme focuses throughout the year on building the students performance skills and confidence. Each term we introduce new language skills and scaffold the students abilities, working with many theatrical elements some important ones being projection, characterisation and space awareness. This when taught in conjunction with our emphasis on promoting self-confidence and self-esteem in our classrooms enables all our students a positive and memorable theatre experience.
